In the Historical Writers Workshop group (a private group – click on the request to join button to be added), we will be discussing more creative methods of research that can empower writers to better immerse themselves in their chosen era. Paired with traditional textual research, these creative methods can help produce compelling pieces of writing that readers cannot put down. We will also take a look at where creative writing and “world building” exercises can enhance scholarly writings and set them apart as exemplary.
We ask that group members take part in the 1-2 paragraph exercises during the course of the event and share their work with the rest of the group. Participants have the week of April 17th to the 23th to try out the techniques are share their work.
